Rules and Conditions of Hunting in Hungary

In Hungary, foreign citizens who are at least 18 years of age and have a hunting license are allowed to hunt. To get a hunting license you need:

• a hunting contract or a letter of invitation for guest hunting
• a European Firearms Pass or an import permit for the hunting weapon      
• a hunting rifle license
• valid hunter’s liability and accident insurance.

Upon receiving a written hunting contract and a valid hunter’s liability and accident insurance, the authorities issue the hunting license for a fee which is valid at least thirty days and at most one year.
